Do you love a good podcast, and can you spot the handful of clips inside a two hour episode that deserve to become Shorts and have the potential to go viral? At Whirlwind, we're looking for a Podcast Marketing Associate (YouTube & Instagram) to work closely with our account lead and take a podcast from an edited recording to a fully distributed content library across platforms.
What You'll Do
- Go through full podcast episodes and identify multiple clips, for YouTube Shorts, following our established process and getting sign off from the account lead
- Cut clips and add B-roll and basic graphics for each episode, coordinating and briefing the design team as needed
- Write platform specific captions, Tweets and copy for each episode across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn
- Draft LinkedIn articles, email newsletters and Tweetstorms to promote each episode
- Research trends and what's working across podcasts, and bring new ideas and thumbnail copy to the team
- Support quality checks on all content before it goes live
- Help track performance across platforms, pull together the numbers for reporting, and flag what isn't working and why
- Coordinate with the design and editing team on deadlines and deliverables, and communicate with clients on day to day items under the account lead's guidance
Qualifications
- 6-12 months of related experience, ideally including some exposure to podcast, video or long form content marketing
- Graduate in Marketing, Communication, Journalism or Art preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with strong editing and proofreading skills
- Comfortable with basic video editing tools (e.g. CapCut, VEED) for cutting shorts
- Detail-oriented knowledge of YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and X, and how each platform's audience consumes content differently
